Cardanol Oil

Cardanol (also known as cashew phenol or cardanol-phenol resin) is a phenolic lipid obtained from anacardic acid, the main component of cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) — a by-product of cashew nut processing.

Cardanol is used across the chemical industry in resins, coatings, frictional materials and surfactants, including as a pigment dispersant for water-based inks.
